I really need your help please!

Are you free on Easter Monday and could you get to Bramham Park (just off the A1 near Wetherby)? If not is your baking edible? Then read on ……….

Fundraising at Bramham Park

We have a golden opportunity to raise funds and awareness for our Group on Easter Monday 17th April and I wish I'd thought of it earlier and got it into the Spring Lupus News!

Background

I'm Coordinator for an International Orienteering Competition, which is taking place for the 4 days over Easter at different venues in Yorkshire each day. On Easter Monday the event is in Bramham Park Estate, famous for horse trials, pop concerts etc. with good access and lots of space for the Assembly Area.

What can we do?

That day we expect to have around 2,000 competitors there who'll be hungry and thirsty after their runs and in need of refreshments before setting off on their long journeys home. This means we have a captive audience to raise funds and spread awareness at the same time!

Very popular will be hot & cold drinks, home-made cakes & biscuits and a bbq selling beefburgers, bacon & sausages would do very well if we could manage it, as the caterer who was supplying this has just cancelled. There is another caterer there who will be selling 'healthy' foods, so we won't be catering for all thank goodness! If we can just do tea, cakes & scones that would be okay as I'll try to get someone else to do the bbq bit.

Please think hard if you or your family could help in any way by:

Please help us out if you possibly can. Contact Joan Chapman on 0113 2659176 or email sec1@yorkshirelupus.org.uk

Sponsorship

We are always looking out for ways in which we can raise funds for research and treatment. We would be delighted to be the beneficiary charity for anybody participating in a sponsored event, such as a run, walk, bring and buy stall or garden fete - anything goes!
